It's written "Renault" in a kind of italique style The Caravelle appear in 1962 on new-designed head coupé, and a cabriolet called Floride S ... both do not have anymore air-intakes on the sides. In the meanwhile the previous Floride remains for a year. In 1963 the range is simplified with only the coupé as Caravelle and the cabriolet as Floride S. In 1964 the range change again with new engine 1100cc from the Estafette, and Floride name is dropped on the cabriolet. Both are named Caravelle 1100 Coupé or Cabriolet. This YM is easy to recognize by C A R A V E L L E on the front replacing the preceding logo (of a caravelle boat) In 1966 they become 1100 S with an improvment of power engine. In 1968 , last YM, they are renamed as Caravelle with no 1100. -- Last edit: 2011-11-24 21:18:04 |

By the way, remind that all US market Florides were named Caravelle. I admit it's quite confusing indeed |
