Please, please tell me Hollywood did not destroy this extremely rare and beautiful car! |

Nothing serious happened to it during the movie. The windshield got all broken from being fired at as well as one of the henchmen breaking it to allow easy access for his Thompson. After Indy shoots the Tommy-gun-wielding henchman, he falls over the driver, making him lose control, crashing it into a few market stalls. It was able to pick up the pace and relocate Indy and company at the airport, so I suppose it survived the shooting (literally). |

I would have to think so. Where is this car anyway? To me, it's a gem, far beyond rubies. |

I can confirm that Hollywood did not destroy this car. It's condition has been maintained and it currently resides in Alberta, Canada. |

Did anyone notice the Mercedes-Benz sitting next to the VW in the mainpic as well? |

Why's there an early 70s VW Van in a scene set in 1935? |
◊ 2014-11-07 00:44 |
Because no-one noticed it was in the shot. |

From a unrelated research, it seems that it is a 1930 REO "model 25" Sedan. The link below is for a 2015 photo on Flickr, showing the car with the same painting as in the movie. Link to "www.flickr.com" -- Last edit: 2021-01-06 05:19:30 |
