Yes. But i don't know the model. |

Strange one, this. It has the typical Farmall steering arrangement, but the nose is very flat and heavy for a Farmall. At that, Farmalls never had the bonnet/ hood that is lifted in this case - the engines were open. The shape of this bonnet/ hood/ flap is that of a Massey-Harris or Case, but they never used that steering arrangement... Will have to chew on this one... |

Alamagam of different tractor parts? |

Based on a IH Farmall M or H ??? |

Tom/ Bruno - could be, but let's just make sure that it is not a make or model we are missing somewhere. There used to be a terribly high number of (now unknown) tractor brands during the first half of the previous century until consolidation and amalgamation of brands started. |

I agree Citsa, i was thinking IH perhaps only by the the steering arrangement , but !!!!!! |

It's an Intercontinental C-26. |

Intercontinental C-26![]() There's no other tractor in the world like it, so it's got to be it. -- Last edit: 2012-10-13 03:08:33 |

I remember this scene...the rooster jumps when the tractor backfires and the Shetland pony says something like "Ain't anything louder than a backfiring tractor," or something like that.... |

Not the rooster, but Goose, the "Mob" pelican ![]() |

The novel has it as: "You're fine, pal. Unless you're being chased by a backfiring tractor." |

According to Nov/Dec 2006 Antique Power magazine, this is likely a Laughlin C-27, as evidenced by the shape of the gas tank compared to a gas tank on an Intercontinental C-26. |
