Most Merkur Scorpios had a reflective panel between the taillights, so I doubt it is one. |

According to IMDB, the sole filming location was Buenos Aires so I'm assuming all the scenes set in Brooklyn were also filmed there but just made to look like Brooklyn. Of course, it's also possible that IMDb mistakenly omitted the NYC locations. |

The Lumina was sold here in the early 90's. The others cars, except the van, no. |

Regardless of it's really Brooklyn or a fake Brooklyn in Argentina, AFAIK the Scorpio (Ford/Merkur) was not common in either of the two countries... |
