SU xxxx was a Kincardine series which dribbled out very slowly 1904 to 1961. No data available before 1929, with the first 1929 issue being 2450. We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided PANHARDETLEAVSSOR UNKNOWN 1932 Registration number: SU 2824 Body type: Saloon Colour: Maroon Date of first registration: August 1932 ... which falls within the 1932 batch (2769 to 2845) near the end. Plate dates for UK cars older than 1922 often throw up wobblies, as there was no centralised system previously, and we've had several "newer" re-regs on ancient stuff. Also possible this was a 1932 import after many years elsewhere. The only solid info seems to be the auction catalogue date of 1920, but they're not always accurate ... DVLA says Export marker No Vehicle status Not taxed for on road use Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 27 October 1983 ... which suggests it's still around, probably as an exhibit in a museum or collection. |
