ill have a go at identifying the escort thumbs, ist and 3dr appear to be XL judging by the wheeltrims. 4th is a sporty version maybe twin cam (lotus style rims)and the 5th thumb most probably a deluxe late model. |

And the main pic, boot badge off putting, maybe its just an add on, also it has over riders which are not usually fitted to 'hot' escorts. |

3rd thumb is 4 door. I looked long at 4th thumb as seems slightly wide arches but should have quarter bumpers for a Twink (as for RS/Mexico). |

 Couldn't it just be a dealer's sticker? Back then -at least here- many dealers has little aluminium made stickers badged on the cars, they have sold.Very durable, so nearly never you can get it off undamaged  -- Last edit: 2012-01-01 20:22:10 |

Have watched the film at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EmjMed8uwE . Only the 2nd thumb is the same car as the main. Good view after about 4.00 mins of front and side. Full front bumper with over-riders, wide lipped arches, round headlights in black grille, wing badge similar to boot badge (and is not GT), sculpted steel sporty wheels (not alloy). Also earlier shot seems to show GT and above dashboard with extra dials. Main is about 7.30 and it is a definite proper boot badge. Still intrigued - my best guess is Escort 1300 Sport (basically a GT in the stiffer RS shell) but still not quite right unless I or someone else can find a photo of a 1300 Sport which has not been altered. |
