Since this is in Taiwan, it will be a CMC Varica. /vehicle_335032-CMC-Varica.html |

I did not know this name. Now I have searched this name on the Net, but I found that this minivan really should be called Veryca, not Varica. Am I wrong ? Link to "autowini.com" |

Turns out that we've been wrong all the time and the Delica was the CMC Delica, not Varica: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:CMC_Delica The Varica was a version of the Mitsubishi Minicab: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:CMC_Varica |

Shall we rename the other ones listed as Varica then? |

I think some of the pickups really are Varicas and not Delicas. |

I think the way of identifying the CMC Delica vs. the CMC Veryca is in the hood shape. The Veryca has a hood that is more horizontal than the frontshield. Like the difference between a Ford F-150 (Veryca) and a Subaru Sambar (Delica), in the basic outline. Both the Veryca and the Delica are offered in van and pickup form. See the CMC official site and click in the pictures for Veryca and Delica: http://www.cmc-motor.com/products/ The Varica appears to be an older form and more closely related to the Delica than the Veryca (confusing). I'm guessing it's not offered anymore since it's not on CMC's official site. The Varica is also smaller than the Delica. |

At least 1997+, since the taillights are clear by this view -- Last edit: 2023-02-09 04:14:28 |
