1967 E plate - though may not be accurate for vehicle date. Just wondering if Leston Motors has any connection with Les Leston driving gloves which my dad used to like getting as Xmas presents; he also did wood rim steering wheels and gearknobs etc and was a 50s racer in F3 Coopers and similar. Edit - Les that is, not my dad who was too busy helping Rootes create even better Imps, Hunters, Avengers etc. -- Last edit: 2012-01-25 21:45:47 |

No official sales as far as I know, but Chrysler had just taken over Rootes by 1967 so there might have been some channels open for one-off sales. After Chrysler began to absorb Rootes activities, Dodge name was used for commercial ranges vans/lorries from early 70s, but these were Commer/Simca products not US imports. -- Last edit: 2012-01-26 04:09:04 |
