Rather J30. That's not the first time that I see one and that I can't remember the make, so thanks for the hint -- Last edit: 2006-08-17 00:59:16 |

The "make" is an Infiniti in the US, a brand created by Nissan much in the way that Honda created Acura to sell upscale cars here, to distinguish them from their lowly plebian line that just anyone's allowed to buy. The tail spoiler indicates this is probably a J30t, the t for Touring. It differed from the base J30 by having different spring rates, antiroll bars, wheels and tires. Early (93, 94) versions also had handling-enhancing rear wheels which steered. Since the spoiler could be put on a non-t model, it could be just a cosmetic add-on done by the owner. In the US, only the Z-derived V6 with automatic transmission was available. Japanese had V8 and V6 twin-turbo models. In Japan, the J30 was the Nissan Leopard J Ferie. Production was from 1993 to 1997½, with no changes in the body style, so year determination is iffy. -- Last edit: 2006-09-05 16:16:05 |
