Looks like it's supposed to be 'inspired' by a German Sd.Kfz.232 armoured car but appears to be built off of a truck chassis.. so I'd say "made for movie" armoured car. |

When I first saw this film when I was 12 I could tell that this vehicle was a plated-up Land Rover. Just look at the wheels and the shape of the front of the vehicle. |

Exactly even most sherman's in this movie where fibreglass hulls on landrover's. This contraption seems to be an attmpt to mimmic a 250 with a turret. There was another vehicle in this scene where the commander of the first platoon trying to cross the bridge is seen burning in the flames. Same construcion als this but faguely resembling a 251 -- Last edit: 2007-08-29 23:25:41 |

No this is supposed to be an Sd.Kfz.222 "Leichter Panzerspähwagen" (4 wheels), not the 6 or 8 wheel Sd.Kfz.232 "Schwerer Panzerspähwagen". |
