 badge on fender, Corolla was written in the rear door's moulding ( which was wider than the Nova's )
87-88 Nova also had red turning signals

 They have different roof lines. The Nova was more sloped and had an extra window behind the rear door. The Corolla was upright.

In that case, what about the 5-door Nova and the Corolla Liftback? Is there any difference between them?

the badge thing applies to the Corolla Liftback and 5-doors Nova as well and red turning signals for 87-88 for Nova
