Identified as a '62 in the show but they could be wrong. |

Just "Mini" even with the "Mini Minor" badge? -- Last edit: 2012-03-15 02:15:41 |

One of those difficult questions to answer cleanly. Known as Mini Minor Traveller when launched Sept 60, but Minor bit became disused for both saloon and estate by mid-60s, though badge stayed the same as far as I can tell. I sorted through all our Minis a few weeks ago and most 60-67 saloons were entered as Mini Minor and estates as Mini Travellers, so tidied the rest to match. I'm easy if this goes to Mini Minor Traveller, it should apply to the other 30 Travellers as well. Doesn't affect the name issue, but also think this one has been slightly but clumsily over-restored - front is too bright, and wood trim too pale, possibly slightly too wide and has some unexpected gaps. Plus the wrong bumper if genuinely 1962. |
