Reminds me of the tank used in The Calculus Affair. |

Looks a bit like a Centurion, but it isnt' any actual tank design, probably best to just put it as Made for Movie. |

I don't think it's supposed to be anything real. Note, that front and rear wheels don't even touch a ground... |

A lot of tanks' running gear don't do that. From the running gear, it looks like a Christie suspension (large road wheels are characteristic of Christie tanks), or a suspension based on the Christie suspension. Based on the road wheels and turret, looks like a Soviet tank, such as a T-44 or even T-54. It doesn't look even remotely like any of those tanks, or any German tank for that matter, and there are more tanks in the world than the Abrams and Tiger. Also, Panzer is German for tank, from Panzerkampfwagen, which, literally translated, is armoured fighting vehicle. It's only when combined with a number tha it is indicative of a specific tank, such as Pz. II, Pz. III, Pz. IV, Pz. V 'Panther', and Pz. VI 'Tiger'. Then there's Pz. VIB Tiger II, Pz. VII 'Löwe' (several designs; project cancelled), Pz. VIII Maus (one made), and the Pz. XI and X (never designed; used for propaganda only). |

Scratch that. It looks more like a Centurion than any other tank. Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" http://www.travel-images.com/pht/israel347.jpg Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" -- Last edit: 2012-03-21 21:31:31 |

What comment? Was it something I said? |

Yes. http://badassoftheweek.com/panther-ausfg1.jpg It looks nothing like a Panther. The tank looks more like a Centurion, or possibly a T-44. -- Last edit: 2012-04-24 05:11:54 |

So, are we agreed that it's a Centurion with a modified turret? |
