As I read this gen. was still called Toyopet in Japan, but as we can see the rear badge says Toyota... -- Last edit: 2012-03-12 17:45:26 |

From the second thumbnail, I can see that it's a 1967 Toyota Crown RS60 Van with a big ambulance body affixed to it. I'm surprised such a teeny car could support such a big body. |

I have it with help of the old Tomica toy car: http://www.diecastlovers.com/view.php?id=17164 It is of course based on the Crown, but seems it was not called this way. This model with exactly the same body is described as: FS55V, what looks like modification of the "S50" code. I would list it as "Toyota Ambulance [FS55V]". What is the Japanese word for Ambulance and how to write it? Still a small mystery, why this gen. car was called Toyota and not Toyopet. |

Why don't we call it "1967 Toyota Ambulance [FS55V] Kyukyusha. That means Ambulance in Japanese. Or would you prefer the Japanese term as a model name. |

Yes I think the Japanese word can be more proper. Thanks. |
