In my opinion the best-looking European car of the first half of the decade |

@Lateef: I'm impressed! Usually when to put a year on a car on Imcdb it's very hard to tell exactly what year it was made, especially if it was made during a number of years and virtually looked the same. One way often used here to simplify is to not bother going into detail and just put the introducing year on the headline. This car was indeed made in 1951, and no other year is possible. That is partly because of the short strip only covering half the front wing, but particulary the winged badge above the grill. A rare car, only 3.463 Zephyr Six out of 175.311 wore that badge... Just a small adjustment; The Mk1 models were called "Zephyr Six", it was when introducing the Mk2 model they simplified the models to Zephyr instead of "Zephyr Six" and Zodiac instead of "Zephyr Zodiac". |

Wow I really had no idea it was such a rare version! I just put down 1951 as default because that was the first year for the MkI Zephyr/Consul/Zodiac - so it was not an educated input, so to speak sorry Thanks for the infos, I'll keep them in mind the next time I find such a car in a movie |

Interesting - means that earliest semaphores were body colour, not chromed as eg here. |
