This is the same car that was used in A Clockwork Orange. Shouldn't it be an "Adams Probe" rather than "Probe"? |

It is an Adams Probe 16 . Only 3 were ever made, two are stll intact one in Kent , England and the other in the USA. The third car is in a very sorry state. Comprehensive details on this and the other Adams Probes... the Probe 15 and Probe 2001 can be found at www.probe2001.com |

Surely if this is the same one as in "A Clockwork Orange", it should be a 1970, right? |

A similar car, s/n AB3, Orange in colour, sold for $184,000 during the online Bonhams sale in August, 2020. Originally the catalog said it was the Clockwork Orange filmcar, later that claim was withdrawn. Was it this car? |

"The third of the three Probe 16 models (AB/4) sat at the Pollock Auto Showcase in the U.S. until it was returned to the U.K. sometime around 1990. In 2004, the Probe 16 AB/4 made a rare public appearance in Top Gear. Before that, the AB/4 was featured in the iconic 1971 movie, A Clockwork Orange, which was directed by legendary director Stanley Kubrick. It was referred to in the movie as the Durango 95." from here. So the TG car seems to be AB/4. Maybe also the Clockwork Orange one as well, but a few claims and counterclaims, so possible rather than proven. |
