F-150 Custom. BTW, if it is a Ford, its newer then 1945 and its a pickup truck, you an be sure its an F-Series. Or if its a sport truck, Ranchero. |

What about Ford Ranger ? And it is not hard to guess that it is newer than 1945 |

Is the Ranger a real truck? The one we got in Europe is Mazda-based and although good it does not possess the same ... 'feel' as the US one The one in the pic is a 1970's model? |

Its easy to tell a mid-size/full-size pickup truck from a compact pickup truck antp. Any Ford pickup truck, newer the 1945, that is mid-size or bigger is an F-Series. Any Ford sport truck, is a Ranchero Any compact Ford truck is a Ranger Any SUV/Truck crossover is a Explorer Sport Trac/Sport Trac. BTW, the Ranger is compact pickup truck, so it is like a full-size sedan that has been stretched and a bed stuck on it. The Mazda B-Series shares the same engines as the Ford Tempo (or similar, but same in size). The only trucks I know that are definetly not real trucks, are those sport trucks like the Ranchero. Oh, and the minivan-based, Civic powered, cheap junk that Honda makes (Ridgeline). |

Easy when you know these vehicles and see them all the time "for real". Here in Europe you do not see them anywhere. |

F-Series has always been a full-size. Rancheros are not sport trucks. They're a car/truck hybrid and they do offer base models for utilitarians which are far from sporty (since it's just a car with a pickup bed). I'd also like to disagree that the Ranger is a full-size car with a pickup bed. It is actually designed to be a pickup with the right suspension components and tow/haul upgrades. It is completely different from a Crown Vic. Just because it is body-on-frame like the Crown Vic doesn't mean it's just like the Crown Vic. And yes, the Ridgeline is not a truck. It's a lifted Odyssey minivan with a bed and Element body. Real trucks don't have independent rear suspensions. Real trucks don't have a hidden trunk inside the bed. Real trucks don't drive and ride like a car. |

I've always thought this truck was a mid 1970s model, I've never did check out the front end of the truck though. |

If there is picture that shows the front end we can pin down the exact model year. Otherwise it is 1977/79. |
