This is actually a very heavily modified 1970 DBS V8, chassis number 10038/RC, built to race at Le Mans. |

Slugfest Link to "www.dailymail.co.uk" . This time I'm only taking the Debbie Mcgee role of being the beautiful sidekick who smiles for the cameras, while Graeme does the Paul Daniels stuff. You'll like this...not a lot, but you'll like it. Great TV questions, #36: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj-9lSEBBm0 . |

Back to the car - it also in October 1980 became the UK (and possibly world) speed record holder for towing a caravan, raising the record from 107.5 mph to 124.9 mph, and at one point reached 152 mph with an (unknown make) Alpha 14 caravan hanging off the back down a rain-soaked disused runway near York. (photo and details in Sept 2011 Classic & Sportscar magazine, page 274). Also - http://www.astonmartins.com/racing/rham1.htm . -- Last edit: 2012-01-22 23:24:02 |
