Import from Cyprus! Wow! Made my day here! Is there any issue with adding a made for Cyprus tag to weed out this beauty? I was going to add it but thought against due to the nature of made for tags. I don't think we have any other documented Cyprus imports in the database. Things like this sometimes happened in the 1990s/early 2000 when discount warehouse chains sourced brand new cars for UK from cheaper RHD markets. Specs were very similar to UK but adjusted for hot/drier countries, so many had air con. But there were also economies - different seat trims, no heated rear window, less rustproofing, weaker electrics (didn't need to fire up on sub-zero winter mornings), tyres and brake differences etc. So not quite up to full standard for UK conditions. I knew someone in Yorkshire who bought a Punto Sport in Maltese spec - fine in summer, but all kinds of winter problems. |
