Ho, bon courage pour celle la, il me semble que c'est une oldie direct import des anciens blocs de l'Est. Mais certains autres détails font penser a du Old (mais alors vraiment Old) Opel... @+ |

Along with a real "Hollywood" Luftwaffe plane.. Looks like a DornHeinMesserWolfe Mk.1B (the highly secret 'schnellbomber' version..) -- Last edit: 2006-05-05 05:42:40 |

its meant to be a Messerschmitt Me265 destroyer aircraft..one of those projects which never got off the drawing board...remove the prop engines and replace them with jet ones and its pretty much spot on for a drawing board heinkel etc which would have taken to the skies in 1946 if the war had gone on. |

It's called a "Flying Wing" in the script, novelization, and all of the merchandise. EDIT: Your question was answered already above, I just noticed. RIGHT above your post. Didn't you read the other comments...? -- Last edit: 2009-06-20 22:34:45 |

In fact Horten brothers designed similar aircraft that actually flew in pre-war Germany. I was little disappointed after watching the documentary that the moviemakers designed it after Northrop; that sounded they were ignorant to German advancements in this field. http://www.things-with-wings.com/FlyingWings/Ho5c7.htm |

Convertible, not sedan. |

The flying wing aircraft is more akin to the Junkers G 38 that came out in the late 1920's till WWII. Especially look at the landing gear, general shape and appearance. It was a flying wing based on Prof. Junkers own patent that predate Jack Northrup's theories that the Horton Brothers used for their Ho 229. |

I think it's not a Horch. The front fenders of the Horch 830R looks different Horch 830 :http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/Horch_830_Kubel_spat_WL-125662__Hoppe.jpg Looks more like a Mercedes 170 VK :http://www.imcdb.org/i444454.jpg |

I agree with Bruno, looks a lot more like a MB 170VK rather than a Horch. |
