Couldn't bars be taken off of a grille? |

but that in main pic looks to have a starter bar at the bottom, from pics I seen that CAT didn't have one the Allis Chalmers I mentioned does have a hole there for starter bar and the downwards pointing main frame seen here ![]() so perhaps check again, Allis Chalmers or still think a CAT ? -- Last edit: 2014-03-09 00:14:43 |

found the scene at 2.30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkxtQK1EkC4 those 2 holes on the top left corner proves it without any doubt, this is an Allis Chalmers !!! and I suspect its model K http://www.cheffins.co.uk/assets/catalogues/lots/40/868.jpg ![]() so this is SOLVED -- Last edit: 2014-03-09 12:53:49 |

The base is still construction-purpose, like most of the vehicles of these makes. -- Last edit: 2014-03-11 10:37:00 |

technically they are agricultural tractors so more in farming category if you want to be real accurate ![]() they were NOT intended as construction vehicles !! it was just one of their possible functions with attachmants you are confusing with what later evolved into purpose build bulldozers with fully integrated blades and so this 20s and 30s small crawler were just agricultural tractors -- Last edit: 2014-03-11 12:03:54 |
