Sure about 1977? The silver metallic paint (colour code 130) was indeed used by Volvo for the first time in 1977, when used on 262C and 244 1927-1977 as some kind of anniversary models. But having that said, no silver estate version were made in 1977. The year that followed was different, as silver metallic was the colour to have, according to Volvo, in 1978. This, however, is at least a GL (as can be seen by the golden badge on the front wing, DL had an all black badge) and as GL was very, very rare in 1978, especially as estates, I'd say it's a 1979. In 1980 the badge was replaced by a VOLVO badge. This is most likely a 1979 Volvo 245 GL. (but it can be a 1978) -- Last edit: 2012-06-25 22:37:39 |
