This one is actually ex-Canadian Army. The militarized CJ-7s were purchased because the M38A1 and M151A2 vehicles then in front line Canadian service were falling apart and were no longer being made. Unfortunately the CJ-7s proved unsatisfactory as a front-line vehicle (frame cracks among other things) and were soon relegated to admin duties, though some stayed with reserve force MP units for awhile. |
