1958+ Sprite mk1. Looks slightly but neatly modified - wide wheels, extra lights, two tone - maybe a weekend racer or tuning conversion and might be recognisable locally?

Nice Rover 12 [P2], 1945-8, slumming. I know I'm biased but I think it deserves a page.

You have a problem with Sprites? Or is it all BMC cars?

Not exactly; I've owned four BMC cars, a Minor 1000, an A40 and two Minis. I've also owned two Hillman Avengers, but only because I was skint at the time. Think about it ...

Via an eBay-auction I got a contact to a Dolomite-owner in Germany. He confirmed, that the Dolomite ws never officially sold here (his car is from Switzerland). The BL-strategy was, to sell in Germany only Triumph-sportscars, to avoid to muck up Rover's and Jaguar's turf. And they were afraid, that the German garagists couldn't handle the 16V-engine.

Loks as if it might even have the Anderson family HS 39 plate - /vehicle_552137-Humber-30-hp-1904.html - and comments that the family also built tuned Austin specials.
