![]() ![]() Can any of our Volvo fans put a year to this car? L62 SPW is listed as a Ford Escort on HPI Check. -- Last edit: 2012-07-15 19:54:55 |

If I understand this right the prefix letter L indicates this was registered AUG 1993 until JULY 1994. Unfortunatelly this doesn't make sence as the 760 was didcontinued in June 1990. Two options: - A very late registered 1988-90 Volvo 760, or - A 1990-94 Volvo 960, which I didn't know was available with Turbo. |

One more option: fake plate, since it is registered to a Ford Escort ![]() |

As Volvos are a foreign planet to me, I offer this information without any recommendation on what to do with it. UK had 960 entry model of 2.3 Turbo saloon and estate with 165bhp Sept 90 - Sept 92. L62 SPW was issued Jan-Feb 94. |

It said 760 Turbo on the back. Otherwise, I'd have put unknown as I can't tell these models apart. -- Last edit: 2012-07-20 15:51:04 |

there are few clues. long bonnet indicates facelifted 760 or 960 pre FL from the front view. Turbo engines were available for both, but 960s are quite rarer. Anyway this is for sure a 760, because 960s didn't have the VOLVO sign on front wings above indicator. |
