Another fake T/A 6.6. The car has an automatic, which means it has the Olds 403 engine and would have originally had "6.6 Litre" on the shaker. The W72 Pontiac 400 was last cast in November 1977 and the final engines were used during the first part of the 1979 model year in the Fall of 1978. Those were the cars that had "T/A 6.6" on the shaker. All of these cars had mandatory 4-speed manual transmissions in the 1979 models. They were the last "true" Pontiac V8s. By the way, the color of Ferg's car is called Atlantis Blue, my favorite '79 T/A color, though I'd have mine without the leaky creaky T-tops and with the real Pontiac 400/4-speed combo. -- Last edit: 2018-08-16 04:59:42 |
