Why GTA and why Turbo? Except the version prepared for the USA (and finally not exported IIRC), it was badged as V6 GT or V6 Turbo AFAIK. In UK it was also GTA? The whole family of those cars, at its roots, was indeed called GTA by the Renault, but market names were such like mentioned above. Correct me, if I'm wrong. -- Last edit: 2012-08-10 19:23:18 |

I'm quite sure they were sold as GTA in the UK. I'm not sure if Alpine was part of the name though (because Rootes held the copyright). CF: Link to "www.flickr.com" Always liked them. -- Last edit: 2012-08-10 19:28:30 |

Ok, so it is exception. It is even quite logic - "A" in original "GTA" name stood for the "Alpine", so since they couldn't use the whole word in UK... Let's rename the others (in British films) to Renault (only). |

if we take both cars as a single entry increase to 4 stars , it's same character using it, even the plate is the same -- Last edit: 2012-08-11 10:40:02 |

so what we do here ? make a separate entry for the blue one or keep it as one if its the same model car ? |

I'd say two entries as both cars would be 3 or so. |

ok, submited from series 5 to 6 seems a number of charaters changed to same car but different color, you have this, that Saab 900 Turbo convertible from black to red, a Bentley and a Range Rover I didn't submit seems very poor continuity here or for some reason they couldn't get exactly same cars again , but then why not just get a different model ?? like the woman who switched from Scirocoo to a newer Corrado -- Last edit: 2012-08-11 15:50:24 |

It's probably because the cars were supplied by the manufacturers or a dealer and so when they filmed the next series they were given a newer car. In the case of something like this, Renault probably only felt the need to have a couple on their fleet so when the time came to film the next series they wouldn't be able to supply a silver one. |
