Chrome grill in seventh generation Ford F-series indicated XLT, XL had an argent colored grill, plus Ive owned several XLT wreckers. -- Last edit: 2006-09-10 04:20:28 |

F-350 is the name of the truck, why is it in "[ ]"? It should be 1980 Ford F-350 XLT, right? Because XLT is just a trim level, not a car. |

XLT is the trim level, F is the model, 350 is the chassis designation -- Last edit: 2006-09-10 04:51:16 |

I have never heard anyone say "Ford F", they always say F-150, F-250, F-350 etc. And Ford seems to refer to it as a name, even though it is a chassis code too. |

Happy now???? Id explain why it was listed like it was originally, but I have no desire to enter into a long drawn out dissertation with you. |

I get what you mean, F-Series, but still they are referred to more as F-350s, F-150s etc. And yes, I am extremely happy now. I can not contain just how euphoric I am right now. I have never been so happy my entire life. -- Last edit: 2006-09-10 05:12:39 |

For the Ford, the number after the F is still part of model name, it is not an internal name like what other model have... |
