It plays a large part in the trailer, so I'm expecting 3, maybe 4 stars. |

Just give it 4 stars we all know that it is going to be used through most of the movie |

No, we don't. Let's wait. |

I think we do know it's going to play a major role. From the looks of it, I would say it seems to be the bad guys car |

Just saw the movie on Sunday. The Corvette ZR1 (or 0h-One as it's called in the movie) is definitely 4 or 5 stars. The Camaro is maybe 3 stars. |

I saw the movie too. Definitely 4 stars. |

If the cartel boss is supposed to drive the ZR1 faster than he could fly in a helicopter how long would the tyres last? The super high speed Bugattis can disintegrate their rubber in less than 20 minutes at top speed. Yes, I know this is a cheesy action flick so I don't expect realism but what do you think? ZR1 is not driven at very high speeds all the time so the tyres have time to cool off but it also goes off road for a bit which must be damaging. -- Last edit: 2013-05-01 13:43:10 |

Contrary to popular belief helos aren't that fast unless the road is not straight, the helo won't be faster, if the car has to go around a lot of course the helo will be faster flying over everything, but overall most mid-range cars will be faster than a run of the mill helo in a straight line. |

I know helicopters have quite limited speed compared to fixed wing aircrafts but I'd say a typical helicopter can cruise over 200kph maybe closer to 250 kph. Limiting factor is range and they are more complicated to refuel than cars, or at least a petrol station is more common than a heliport with fuel. Maintaining 250 kph in a car is quite a task but sure the stereotypical Arizona roads are loooong and straight. The ZR1's high speed and power are emphasized in the movie so it must be going really fast. Anyways, I shall not be nitpicky. It's an action film after all. -- Last edit: 2013-05-20 17:09:41 |

In the film, one of the FBI agents said that the car was a modified show car that was stolen from the LA Auto Show. |

At the pre-production stage, cartel boss was going to drive Gumpert Apollo It would explain why FBI agents couldn't recognize the car, they're calling it "batmobile" and why it is described as faster than helicopters. One of first news about movie for proof. ![]() ![]() [CC BY-SA 2.5 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5)], by Maximilian Dörrbecker (Own work), from Wikimedia Commons -- Last edit: 2017-12-02 19:03:39 |

I found it a bit ridiculous how the movie tried to portray the car and its driver, the Mexican cartel leader, as "dangerous", mysterious and threatening when in fact all he was doing was "racing" to the border with a street-legal high-performance car. Perhaps they should have arrested him while he was fueling up at a gas station. 😂 |

He did have other cartel members in the Cadillac Escalades and Mack R Series that could have been carrying extra fuel. |
