I don’t know what a VIN is, and there is no need to know in this case. Here is a bus sales advertisement describing a bus as it should, imo, be done. Chassis make and type/coachwork make and type. Link to "www.odysseycoachsales.co.uk" Some anomalies occur where coachwork manufacturers assume the lead, and build a body to which they attach various mechanical elements, but this is in the minority. This advertisement contains little references to other vehicles for sale, seemingly with the chassis manufacturer coming first. It seems that with the way that the industry is changing there will be more cases where the vehicle will become known by the name of the coachwork constructer/marketing company as mechanical units are sourced from various suppliers say as engine a/transmission b/axles c. -- Last edit: 2021-02-25 14:58:30 |
