Hmm.... VERY interesting brochure, kegare...however at the time that these heavy trucks were made here, EVERYTHING with an American tag on it was made within the country, with the exception of rebadged cars. I think that what you've found is a European brochure for the truck sold there, assembled from parts there and the model name for it there was a Loadstar CO 1800. Interesting find though. |

That is what it seems. Most Cargostar's we have on the site are mostly six-wheeled trucks, so I think that the CO 1800 name should apply to the trailer trucks. never noticed that before. |

In 1963 International brought out the new CO-Loadstar series of medium-duty tilt-cab trucks. The cab was all-new and entirely different from the Diamond T-based CO-series cab. The mid-1970 Cargostar, with its new wider cab, replaced the CO-Loadstar line. http://tractors.wikia.com/wiki/International_Trucks The first generation CO-Loadstars were built from 1963 thru 1969. The wide fenders are a giveaway on this. In 1970, the Cargostar--a CO-Loadstar with a 10" wider cab--was introduced. The Cargostar has a lip only a couple inches wide outside the cab. The 10" patch in the center of the cab is obvious too. The early Cargostars had a grille similar to the CO-Loadstar. In 1973 they got this Transtar-style grille.
