This was the Ford Econoline "Supervan". It had an extended cargo area. Same wheelbase; longer tail section. That's a Supervan logo on the door too. -- Last edit: 2009-08-11 09:46:14 |

That would make this between 1965 and 1967. |

Looks like Nixon had the Wonka fever too. |

Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) had these kinds of vans, and they were also that shade of Gray as well. And AAFES HQ Europe was at the time in Munchen? (Where most of this was filmed in & around?) |

This scene was definitely not filmed in München - because of the building in the background. Such an architecture does not exist in Germany, not even this kind of windows. We don't have any vertical sliding windows at all. In Europe they exist only in Britain and in the Netherlands, but not in Germany. |

That actually was the thing that threw me too. The windows didn't look quite right?? |

Most likely a pickup scene shot somewhere in the LA studio zone well after principal shooting in Germany was done. |

I think that this is in the Washington presidential zone. ![]() https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:White_HouseTour.jpg |
