1968+ and most probably a diesel since it's a taxi - 200 D or 220 D W115. |

Several decades ago some of Hong Kong taxis were Mercedes Benz. |

In West Germany there were decades, when more than 90% of the taxis had been Mercedes Benz. |

I know now some of the German taxis are BMW, VW and Audi. But I think no non-German cars are used as taxis, like Peugeot, Citroen and Alfa Romeo, right? |

At least nearly everything with 4 doors, even smaller cars. But Vans also. Alfa Romeo not that much, but many Asian cars, too. You may not believe it, but there are not just single Dacias in use now, Logan MCV, but Logan Sedan, too. P.S.Yes, French cars and Fiats, too, except Diesel-cars often LPG- or natural gas-powered versions. A few Hybrids, too, mainly Priuses. One exotic Lateef-car is still running in the next town as a taxi: a Ford Scorpio MkII -- Last edit: 2012-09-29 00:00:38 |

Schuco had a model of 200D but here we found a 200 Benziner in Hong Kong http://www.schucomania-forum.de/index.php/Thread/1022-Mercedes-8-Hong-Kong-Taxis/ /vehicle.php?id=1416623#Comment2779363 |
