Ford Tempo? |

It looks like one but maybe there was some strange export name. 1992-94 at least. |

Maybe you are thinking about the Ford Laser or Ford Telstar which were Mazdas? I can't find an export name for the Tempo. |

I can't even find traces for a remarkable export of the Tempo at all. |

I saw a picture on the internet of one that made it to Jersey (Bergerac Jersey, not Tony Soprano Jersey). It's of great disappointment to me that we never saw it in an episode of that series. @kegare: I wasn't thinking of anything in particular, I was just covering myself in case it did have a strange export name. -- Last edit: 2012-09-29 01:46:42 |

The Chinese government purchased several thousand Tempos in 1992, apparently for political reasons, to improve the image of the Communist Party in the US after the Tienanmen Square incident and keep China's Most Favoured Nation trade status with the United States. They were identical to the US models, with no China specific modifications. Link to "www.carnewschina.com" -- Last edit: 2012-09-30 03:32:28 |
