![]() from a better resolution of the show's intro. i updated the photo above too. it looks like there's a GT on the grill. i'm not sure what levels these Celica's came in. |

According to the commentry by Kenneth Johnson the special effects crew put lightweight panels on the car to enable Lou to wreck it. Also note how the drivers window smashes after being punched by the hulk. Kenneth admits that this would not happen in real life. Error - when David Banner is changing the wheel the wheel cap is missing at the wrong point. A bad continuity error, also if my memeory is correct the cars headlights are either on or off depending on the shot. Still, a great film from 1977. |

(From wikipedia)For export markets, the Celica was offered in three different levels of trim; LT, ST and GT. The Celica in this picture is a Toyota Celica ST (the letters can be seen much clearer in the pilot episode at 5.20) http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/4184/hulkcelica.jpg It is a TA22 chassis not RA20. As for the year, the celica did not arrive in North America until 1971 Some exterior details changed around 1974, the molding behind the rear side window, the gas cap from behind the rear number plate to the rear left side, the radio antenna and maybe some more. I own a 1971 ST and this looks very similar. -- Last edit: 2011-08-04 20:22:05 |
