chrysler/talbot avenger strikes again! |

Avenger looks mid-spec (rear trim panel and bumper rubber strips, but no vinyl) so 76+ Chrysler Super would match - became GL in 77. However - and this may be the only time in my life where I write this - the Marina could be more interesting. It's a Sept 73 TC Jubilee special edition (2000 made) with vinyl, tints, special paint and coachlines produced to mark 60 years of Morris - http://www.flickr.com/photos/27204054@N07/2692470167/ , http://www.cjw-consulting.co.uk/buyersguide0608/Jubilee.jpg . |

Jubilee edition info: In order to celebrate their Diamond [60th] Jubilee, Morris produced a special edition Marina 1.8 TC 4-door costing £1,500, which was £362 more than a standard TC. One was supplied to every BL dealer in the UK for the M registration of 1st August 1973. All were in a new colour, 'Citron' and featured a black vinyl-roof, black door-mirrors, dual-layer black pinstripe, navy blue cloth seats, Sundym glass, front fog lights, citron-trimmed grille, side repeaters, and 'Jubilee' wing badges. The Marina Owners Club believes only 5 roadworthy examples of the 2000 produced remain." from Corgi announcement of a 1:43 Vanguard model for 2016 VA06310. -- Last edit: 2018-07-24 04:43:12 |
