However the JHX series was issued March-May 1938, and http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/archive/85.261.html gives one record for the car (chassis #85.261) in the September 1938 Tourist Trophy. Link to "www.heraldscotland.com" also suggests a 1938 date. So unless anyone knows any better I suggest the DVLA 1933 date is ignored and 1938 used.
