American Eagle, mid to late 80's. Note the drive axle is the rear, and tag is the front, unique to Eagle busses vs the normal with the drive axle being the forward and tag rear on most other companies, MCI etc. GM in their limited 4900 series did the same, but most of them had a retractable forward tag. This is a model 10 due to the angled windows over the drivers/front clip. Older 05's had that window set back over the first row of seats. Powered by GM Detroit Diesel V6-92's. dr. g. |

This bus is either a late 70s or 80 Model 05 or a 1981 Model 10. I say this because of the entry door. The Model 05 had the entry door as shown above that was shorter than the windshields. The early 1981 Model 10s also had this door while the later ones had a door that was the same height as the windshield. The only way to tell for sure would be to see the dashboard. The 05s had the small round gauge pod while the Model 10s had the new upgraded square dashboard. My guess would be a 1981 Model 10. -- Last edit: 2009-02-03 16:53:24 |
