I stand corrected, I didn't notice the door moulding. What made me think Bedford or particular AWD was the wheels which look far more modern than 1969. Any chance this being a later Dodge built during the Karrier (branded Commer) or the Renault (branded Dodge-Renault) ownership? I might go along with Dodge-Renault, but perhaps not Commer which would have preceded Dodge. I don't think many 100s carried Commer badging. |

According to Peter J. Davies "The World Encyclopedia of Trucks", Hermes House 2002, page 105 (Dodge UK), "Chrysler were to suffer financial losses in their European operations in the late 1970s and decided to sell out to French Peugeot-Citroën Group in 1978.". And on page 95 (Commer) that "...in 1981, Renault Véhicules Industriels took control of the company and the Commando models which had initially been Commer and featured a new plastic grill became Renaults.". According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_100_%22Commando%22 it was marketed as Renault Commando from 1987. So a Dodge, Commer, Dodge-Renault or just Renault? |

I checked with the Imdb where they wrote that this episode was aired in late 1990. Judging by the condition of the HGV, and bearing in mind that most HGV's live a very hard life, I find it highly unlikely it's as old as 10 years. I'd vote for a Dodge-Renault. |
