Local version - am not up to speed on what they did in Aus but there were some unique variants with 2-litre engines, and this one has a fair bit of chrome. |

1976+ for mkII in Australia. Note: information is hard to come by. Redbook lists 1976 as the first year for mk2, but doesn't list a specific month, which is unusual. Searching for 1975 Escorts in Australia only returns mk1 models. -- Last edit: 2020-05-04 05:16:01 |

I think Mk2 launch in Aus was Oct 75. Likely this is early XL with chrome but before sports wheels. XL renamed GL in June 77, and more trim gradually added. |
