Any other views ? Just to see it's really an Estima Lucida, or an Estima Emina, or just an Estima, or even a regular Previa. |

Filmed in London. Considering the filming location I am reverting this to Previa. Estima, Estima Lucida, & Estima Emina were all JDM exclusive models being exclusive to Japan. I have not found any other evidence these models were sold anywhere else. If you do can you post it up for me? I don't mean if you find one in a country other than Japan; I mean actual brochure/source documents proving they were sold outside Japan. [TCR] for the Estima/Previa as they never had a diesel option. |

@dhill_cb7 - just to note in passing that UK has received a trickle of ex-JDM used imports over the years of various things, usually because the Japanese MOT test at 3 years old and subsequent years is very stringent, so failures are often shipped out to other RHD countries (eg also NZ, Australia etc) with easier regimes. So sometimes strange things crop up here - for instance UK apparently has the world's biggest collection of Nissan Figaros despite never being sold new outside Japan, we also have a fair few Eunos and Miata versions of Mazda MX5 (particularly oddballs like automatics which were never sold here), some 4wd campers etc. So Estimas can occur in UK in very small numbers, maybe as weirder versions (luxury or diesels or automatics or 4wd or whatever), and while probability is very low, they can't be completely excluded if a sighting has unexpected elements. |

Very true statement dsl. I did not know your market received that many exports; as exports in the USA are rare and far between due to our extremely tight laws regarding exports (25+ years before any car can come if they don't meet our government requirements). I guess for the time being it would be safe to leave at Previa unless there is evidence to support an Exported Estima? I do agree though we should always keep our options open when ID'ing on here. I should move to Europe to learn about the exports ![]() ![]() |

JDM Estimas were actually very common, they were probably one of the most common JDM imports so would disagree with the "very small numbers" comment. Though usually they were the ones with noticably different styling like: /vehicle_868671-Toyota-Estima-Lucida-CXR10G-1994.html Previas were well-liked here but sold in limited numbers with strong resale values, hence strong demand for cheaper used grey import models. In later years, when Previas were no longer sold here new, there continued to be imports of Estimas. As a note of reference, there are currently 107 Estimas for sale on the UK Auto Trader, compared to 49 Previas (a lot of which are actually wrongly listed Estimas). The large number of newer ones contribute to that but still... |
