Hmm... This one seems to have curve windscreen.

I think this one goes for 1973 or later.

@ingo: :hello: Did they ever sold a knockoff mag hubcap on these Beetles?

Sorry, but it's for sure a flat front screen, so a 1971+ 1302/Super Beetle. ;) Also the colour "marinablau" wasn't available any more at 1303-times.

The hubcaps are surely not original VW. The original extra-option-range was not very large back then. Maybe they are even alloy-wheels, but also then not original Volkswagen.

Were there some US-companies back in the 70ies which have offered aftersales-market-alloys for Volkswagen? I cannot remember, that I've seen ever any US-made alloys for VW's and Audi's (original in the time, not some pimp- or race-stuff), not here at IMCDB, not in the reality).

It seems, that Italy was the country in the 60ies and 70ies, where the most different aftersales-marekt-alloys were made and sold. Just think about the many 02-BMW's in Italian movies, we have here. In Italy was obviously a bigger choice than in Germany and France.

Today rare, collectible stuff, these Italian alloys. :miam:

Yes - lots. I remember reading copies of Road & Track and Hot Rod which had many adverts. Not sure of the names now, but EMPI and Enkei show up on google searches and sound familiar from those days.

Thanks, ingo ;)

I guess the reflection on the windscreen is playing trick on my eye :p
