Sorry, but it's for sure a flat front screen, so a 1971+ 1302/Super Beetle. ![]() The hubcaps are surely not original VW. The original extra-option-range was not very large back then. Maybe they are even alloy-wheels, but also then not original Volkswagen. Were there some US-companies back in the 70ies which have offered aftersales-market-alloys for Volkswagen? ![]() It seems, that Italy was the country in the 60ies and 70ies, where the most different aftersales-marekt-alloys were made and sold. Just think about the many 02-BMW's in Italian movies, we have here. In Italy was obviously a bigger choice than in Germany and France. Today rare, collectible stuff, these Italian alloys. ![]() |

Yes - lots. I remember reading copies of Road & Track and Hot Rod which had many adverts. Not sure of the names now, but EMPI and Enkei show up on google searches and sound familiar from those days. |
