Actually, I do not know hoy IMCDB wants to consider this car, but is (still) an early Autobianchi Y10 (1985 onwards). Incidentally, it is the last ever Autobianchi-badged car until Fiat 'killed it', re-badging it as 'Lancia' ![]() |

Yes, but even with Lancia logo they were known as Y10, not Ypsilon, I think. -- Last edit: 2006-10-04 21:22:16 |

Indeed. The 'Y' or 'Ypsilon' name came only with the all-new Punto-based 1995 model. My comment was to remark that the brand Autobianchi was put "to sleep" after this re-badge ... |

It can be Autobianchi Y10, because it is in Italy. What do you think Leolito? I'm not sure, but for me only for export this car was named Lancia. |

The 1985-1995 Y 10 in Italy were Autobianchi-badged always, meanwhile at export(Germany,Switzerland)was known as Lancia Y 10;the use of Autobianchi Brand was erased in 1996,when was launched the Lancia Y(same thing was happened also years before, when in Switzerland the A 112 were sold in early 80s as Lancia A 112--a day I've seen one so-badged in my town, coming just by Switzerland);absolutely,a "limited edition" of a Y10 IInd series(1989)for French market only was named even Lancia Y10 Appia--referred at name of famous Lancia marketed thru '50-s'60s. -- Last edit: 2007-03-07 19:54:18 |
