Yes, it's a Ford LTD II. The LTD II was formerly called the Torino and was an intermediate-sized car. Not to be confused with the larger LTD (no numerals). -- Last edit: 2005-10-12 19:52:15 |

When downsized LTD was introduced in 1979. The LTD 2 was actually bigger than the "full-size" Ford. The last year for the Torino based LTD was 1979. They should never have called it LTD. Torino or Fairlane would have been less confusing. |

The Ford LTD II police cars that were used in "First Blood" look like ex-RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted police) police units. Since the movie was shot in British Columbia, I'm guessing the production company either purchased or rented several ex-RCMP police cars. |
