Studebaker lettering + badge on fender 1957/58 concave fins, but can´t say Golden/Silver Hawk for sure what a beauty! -- Last edit: 2012-12-20 21:40:29 |

A Golden Hawk. Silver Hawks weren’t available as pillarless hardtops. |

1957 Golden Hawk = contrasting paint tone on fin only. 1958 Golden Hawk = contrasting paint tone on fin and roof. Both the '57 and '58 Golden Hawks had the hawk emblem on the front fenders below the trim under the nameplates, visible on the subject car. (The '57 Silver Hawk V-8 models had a V-8 emblem in this position. The '57 6-cyl Silver Hawks and ALL '58 Silver Hawks had no fender emblems.) The subject car is therefore a '58 Golden Hawk. It's barely visible but the fender top lamps appear to have the small side "fins" present only on '58's. -- Last edit: 2012-12-22 16:21:29 |
