There were only a very few DS running in the DDR. About one there was an interesting story, written by the owner, how he could keep it alive. I must see, if it's maybe the same car. |

Yes, but not for the ordinary people. And those at the top were in this case real hypocrites (with exception of the 1970s maybe). Anyway, after some thoughts, this story is strange. The charater played by L. Niemczyk (the car owner in film) wasn't a nice guy, so why he couldn't drive a 'bourgeois' Merc? More possibly because high rank commies used MB's (inlcuding the party leader W.
