Happily, this car is still on the road today. It is believed to be the last CX 2400 Safari left in the UK. It is now white and can be seen in a recent photo here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mattloaf/6851044142/ |

I wonder if the owner knows how special it is? |

Owner of the picture linked to above here. Yes the owners are aware that it has appeared in the show, it originally belonged to the director Peter Medak; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Medak -- Last edit: 2013-01-02 04:12:12 |

There is also the one used in TopGear, as it is still renewed in DVLA registry I wonder if it was really destroyed: /vehicle.php?id=319862 Only two Safari in total: http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/citroen_cx_safari If this one is the only 2400, I guess the other one is TopGear's 2500 then. -- Last edit: 2013-01-02 16:57:04 |

Afghanistan being the first country in the list, I have some doubts (20 registered from there), but still possible (5 visits from there in the last two days according to Google) -- Last edit: 2013-01-02 16:59:25 |

I imagine from the location of the pic he took DeadToster's flag should be the same as mine. |

Also used in The Professionals episode 'The Rack', again directed by Peter Medak: /vehicle_107909-Citroen-CX-Estate-1976.html Both of these were filmed within the same 12 month period (1977-78). Good to know that such a rare car is still around! Peter Medak was clearly a proud owner... |
