Mk.VIII or IX. 'British' plates are fake. |

RAC badge is a nice touch. I like the way the plates read CGF 506 on back but 506 CGF on front - someone did not understand that UK plates did not reverse. |

Dear DSL this mistake was probably due to the fact that at the time in Italy they were reversed. On the rear you had first the letters for the town and that the numbers. In the front the opposite. |

Mk IX separate driving light on top of bumper and horn grille, and I suspect chrome surround on rear window http://www.big-jags.de/jagseng/jaguar_modelguide.html |

I think the only external difference is a Mk.IX badge on the bootlid, and bigger taillights on the last versions of the Mk.IX. Looks to me there isn't the Mk.IX badge, but on theother hand the taillights look like the bigger ones (same as on the XK 150). So I still cannot make out which one this will be... |

It's a Mk IX, as it's got a chrome surround on the rear light. http://www.simoncars.co.uk/jaguar/mark789.html |

I think - but can't check as away from home - that Mk9 had standard sunroof (optional on Mk8). I don't see sunroof outline here. |
