No offense against you, Lateef, but is this realy worth listing? I mean, you don't see even 1/4 of the car. |

At the present moment - yes, it is. It looks special to me, so I follow the standard procedure: 1) list it, 2) have it identified, 3) decide whether it's rare enough or not. We haven't reached 2) yet, now have we? -- Last edit: 2013-01-16 17:18:51 |

Actually, it is quite rare for a Japanese film. It's a 1996-2003 Saturn SW(2?). They were sold through certain Toyota dealerships, and sold quite poorly. From Wikipedia: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" (Compare the rear doors, they match perfectly) Origin: USA, Made for: JP -- Last edit: 2013-01-16 17:42:38 |

Yes, many Saturns shared the same platforms. -- Last edit: 2013-01-16 17:48:15 |

@Lateef: Thanks. @ingo: Interesting fact with the Saturn SW, all 4 doors (both front and both rear) are exactly the same as the ones on the sedan. Probably a cost-effective move, instead of having to create tooling for wagon specific doors. Also, about the 'platform sharing', the S-Series was the only Saturn to have it's own exclusive platform (the GM Z Platform, which shares only it's name with the one used in the Corvair). Every Saturn after that shared a platform with other GM products. -- Last edit: 2013-01-16 17:52:20 |
