Ford GPA, amphibious Jeep, also called the "Seep" (sea jeep). Built in '42 and '43. http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/jeep_man/GPA.htm http://members.aol.com/brimiljeep/AppletBox/AppletGPAswimPage.html |

strange that this one was still not renamed to Ford GPA since all that time, it seems that we missed/forgot it. -- Last edit: 2008-01-16 17:51:09 |

Because it's listed here - /vehicle.php?id=56607 , and entry is for the tank. ![]() |

Looks like an A2 or A4. Too square for an M4 or M4A1, and the hull doesn't match an M4 or M4A3. |

It has early welded hull, with mid-production transmission cover. If this is from US Army stock, it is either M4 or M4A3 (the hull does match; they used only these two models with welded hulls). Let's say: basic M4 (then, most were made by Alco). Edit: most were made by Chrysler. -- Last edit: 2013-01-10 21:45:46 |
